John F. Kennedy Library Foundation Announces New Board Members

BOSTON, MA – Kenneth R. Feinberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, today announced that the Board of Directors unanimously elected the following new members: John B. Adams, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Martin Agency; Adrienne Arsht, national business leader and philanthropist; Blake Jordan, Executive Director of the Highland Street Foundation; Conan O’Brien, television host and comedian; Professor Clive F. Palmer, Chairman and Founder of Mineralogy Pty Ltd., Australia; and Ronald L. Sargent, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Staples.

Also announced today is the election of William H. Swanson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon Company, as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“As we approach the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s election, I am so delighted that we were able to recruit such distinguished individuals to guide the Kennedy Library Foundation,” said Feinberg. “Each of our newly elected Board Members is committed to our goal of ensuring that the legacy of President Kennedy endures and inspires future generations.”

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization founded in 1984 to provide financial support, staffing, and creative resources for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, a federal institution under the National Archives. The Kennedy Library Foundation is not a grant-making foundation.

The Kennedy Library Foundation is governed by Officers and a Board of Directors comprised of business, education and cultural leaders. The Officers and Board of Directors are responsible for managing the affairs of the Foundation and hold scheduled meetings at least three times a year.

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum and the Kennedy Library Foundation seek to promote, through educational and community programs, a greater appreciation and understanding of American politics, history, and culture, the process of governing and the importance of public service.
