Boston, MA – On Wednesday November 29, 2006, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum was named the “Best Private Function Space in Boston” at the 2006 Boston Choice Awards. The award was given to the Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum after the public voted that the Library should take home this top honor.

The Boston Choice Awards is a celebration of the best that Boston has to offer to those who live and visit here. The Boston Choice Awards aim to recognize the highest standards of quality and excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry. These awards are given out annually by the Greater Boston Concierge Association, and are hosted by the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious Boston Choice Award. Many thanks go out to the Greater Boston Concierge Association and to everyone who voted to make the Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum this year’s award recipient,” said Tom Putnam, Acting Director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. “The staff here works hard to make sure each and every event is special and memorable occasion. It is hard to look out the window overlooking Boston Harbor or take a walk through our Museum and imagine a more perfect and inspiring location to hold an event.”

In 1961, President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy brought a new sense of style to the White House. From small private parties to state dinners to lavish affairs, the Kennedy’s always entertained with warmth, hospitality and grace. Their commitment to culture, art and music inspired an American renaissance in imagination and creativity. That spirit lives on today at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, as guests take in breathtaking views on the Library’s 10 acre waterfront park overlooking Boston Harbor. There are five separate function spaces available, all designed by world renowned architect I.M. Pei. Whether you’re putting on a lavish dinner or clam bake for 1,000 catered by one of New England’s top service providers, Gourmet Caterers, or hosting a small business meeting for 20, you know that your guests will leave feeling inspired having attended a memorable event at our nation’s memorial to the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy.
