Kennedy Presidential Library to Celebrate the 90th Anniversary of John F. Kennedy's Birth

Boston, MA – On Tuesday, May 29, 2007, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the birth of John F. Kennedy.  Born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy was one of nine children born to Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy and Joseph P. Kennedy.

Among the activities taking place to mark this milestone will be:

  • Free admission to the Museum for anyone born on May 29th
  • Free admission to the Museum for anyone born in 1917
  • Free birthday cake at 11:00 a.m. (while supplies last) in the Museum Pavilion
  • 90-cent clam chowder in the JFK Café
  • Free gift bag for the 90th visitor of the day
  • Display of the Fitzgerald family bible, holding the inscription of John F. Kennedy’s birth

One of Boston’s most popular destinations for visitors from all nations, the architectural masterpiece designed by I.M. Pei sits on a 10-acre waterfront site on Columbia Point offering panoramic views of Boston’s skyline and Harbor Islands.

General admission to the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library is $10.00. Admission for seniors over the age of 62 and college students with appropriate identification is $8.00, and for children ages 13-17, $7.00. Children ages 12 and under are admitted for free.

The Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the exceptions of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.   For more information, call (866) JFK-1960.
