This folder contains a memorandum from Chris Grimsley, a worker on Senator John F. Kennedy's 1960 presidential campaign, to Richard “Dick” Goodwin, a speechwriter for Senator Kennedy, concerning a suggestion by Harry Costello, a former journalist, to invoke the name of the late Clem Shaver when campaigning in the Fairmont area of West Virginia to curry favor among voters in the area.
