This folder contains copies of a speech by Senator John F. Kennedy titled, "The Task of Our Teacher College Graduates." In his speech Senator Kennedy discusses competition between the United States and Soviet Union, and stresses a need for better education in the science and engineering fields, as well as a strong leadership and more politicians. The Senator also notes challenges to the educational system, such as a deficiency in the number of teachers, classrooms, and funding; and encourages shared responsibility at the Federal, state, and local levels to better education in the United States.
