Folder Description
This folder contains memoranda regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis including Soviet Union removal of IL-28 bomber planes from Cuba, inquiries into the crisis from reporters and the general public, and details of the agreement between the U.S. and Soviet Union that ended the crisis. Also included in this folder are various drafts of a paper by ISA (Department of Defense, International Security Affairs) titled, “Some Lessons from Cuba,” discussing Soviet objectives and withdrawal from Cuba, nuclear weapons, and intelligence.
