Folder Description
This file contains Department of State telegrams regarding Great Britain, including trade with the United States, a proposed trade agreement with the Soviet Union, and excerpts of a speech given by British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan. Also included are memoranda in preparation for a meeting between President John F. Kennedy and Chief of the Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces and Admiral of the Fleet Lord Louis Mountbatten, First Earl Mountbatten of Burma; and a memorandum from the President to U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain David K. Bruce requesting a review on U.S. policies toward Europe.
