This folder contains telegrams, primarily from Michael Blumenthal, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, to Christian Herter, Special Representative for Trade Negotiations, regarding meetings between United States officials and members of the EEC (European Economic Community). Topics include trade negotiations for poultry and grains, the German steel industry, France’s trade policies, and recognition of MFN (most-favored-nation) status to Poland and Yugoslavia. Also included in this folder is a paper discussing trade and foreign aid.
