This folder contains memoranda of conversations between Henry Kissinger, consultant to the National Security Council (NSC), and numerous French officials discussing Berlin, Algeria, the possibility of a NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) nuclear force, and a strategic defense concept for France. Also included in this folder are memoranda of Kissinger’s conversations with Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru and Indian Minister of Defense V.K. Krishna Menon discussing nuclear testing, China, and relations between India and the United States.
