Folder Description
This folder contains handwritten notes and doodles by John F. Kennedy that were collected and transcribed by his secretary, Evelyn Lincoln. Materials consist of notes, some included in the toast, written during the state dinner for Prime Minister of Ireland Sean and Mrs. Lemass; notes written by the President and Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs McGeorge Bundy during an off the record briefing meeting regarding the visit of President of Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito; notes written during an off the record meeting concerning the Alliance for Progress; corrections on a letter to Chairman of the Civil Rights Commission Dr. John Hannah; notes written during a telephone conversation with First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy; notes written prior to a trip to Maine; notes written en route from Hyannis Port, Massachusetts to Washington, D.C.; and two sets of notes written during an off the record meeting concerning Berlin.
