World War I, Austrian Navy boarding saber, or "entersabel", with a wrapped sharkskin hilt and split knuckle guard. The saber has a black leather scabbard.
President Kennedy received this Saber during Chancellor Gorbach's visit to the White House, May 1962. The President displayed the saber in the Oval Office, mounted in a crossed position with John Barry's sword.
