Three .900 gold medals commemorating President John F. Kennedy's state visit to Germany. The obverse of each medal has left facing profiles of President Kennedy and Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and is embossed with "Prasident John F. Kennedy/ Bundeskanzler Konrad Adenauer 1963." The reverse depicts a bird of peace holding an olive branch and is inscribed around edge "Sententia - Pax-Labor-Panis - Orbi Terrarum."
These medals were presented by Konrad Adenauer, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (1949-1963), to President John F. Kennedy during his state visit to Germany on June 23, 1963.
