Sleevless evening dress with hot pink silk organza bodice and metallic-brocaded silk organza straight skirt. Mrs. Kennedy had the skirt made from a brocade fabric given to her by King Saud of Saudi Arabia. The dress was worn by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy to a benefit performance of the musical Mr. President for the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation at the National Theater in Washington, D.C. on September 6, 1962.
