The outgoing correspondence is arranged chronologically. If the year is known but not the month or day, the letter is filed at the beginning of the year. If the month and year are known but not the day, the letter is filed at the beginning of the month. If the date cannot be established at all it is placed at the very end of the group with all undated material. If more than one letter bears the same date, the letters are filed alphabetically by addressee's name.
