According to the deed of gift signed January 2002, copyright of these materials has been retained by David Brinkley. After the Donor’s death, all said rights shall pass to the Government.

The Personal Papers of Douglas Brinkley, 1961-

Biographical Note
Douglas Brinkley was born in Atlanta, GA, in 1961. He attended and received a Ph.D. from Georgetown University. In 1994, Brinkley became the director of the Eisenhower Center at the University of New Orleans. He is the author of numerous books and articles and has worked extensively in radio and television. His most notable publications include “Dean Acheson: The Cold War Years 1953-1971,” “The Unfinished Presidency: Jimmy Carter’s Journey Beyond the White House,” and “Rosa Parks.” He has been involved in documentary work on PBS and is a programming consultant for C-SPAN.
