Personal Papers of John G. Feild (1922- )

Biographical Note
John G. Feild was born in 1922. In 1959, he became a legislative assistant to Senator Philip A. Hart from Michigan. Mr. Feild aided in the campaign to elect John F. Kennedy for president. He served as the executive director of the President’s Commission on Equal Employment Opportunity between 1961 and 1963.

The papers of John G. Feild cover the years 1961 - 1963. The collection consists of memorandums, correspondence, releases, reports, newsclippings, and miscellaneous papers relating to his work with the President’s Commission on Equal Employment Opportunity.

The John F. Kennedy Library also has an oral history interview with Mr. Feild.
