Usage Restrictions
According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed December 1973, the collection was closed for fifteen years from signing. After fifteen years, the collection was made available. Copyright of these materials has been retained by the Ford Foundation.

Note
The papers of the Ford Foundation regarding the Bedford-Stuyvesant community in New York City span the years of 1969 to 1981. The Ford Foundation first became involved with the Corporation in the early fall of 1966. After much consideration, the Foundation became a major financial contributor to the Corporation. The materials in this collection are the papers concerning this relationship.
