Collection Overview
The collection consists of Ambassador Moscoso's personal papers from his tenure as United States ambassador to Venezuela; assistant administrator for Latin America, Agency for International Development, and United States coordinator of the Alliance for Progress. The collection is arranged into 6 series: 1.) Agency for International Development; 2.) Alliance for Progress; 3.) Correspondence; 4.) Newspaper Clippings; 5.) Readings on Economic Development and Latin America; and 6.) Speech File. The correspondence, clippings and speech files document the more public aspects of Ambassador Moscoso's work as ambassador to Venezuela; assistant administrator for Latin America, Agency for International Development; and United States coordinator of the Alliance for Progress. The agency originated materials in the Agency for International Development and Alliance for Progress series and the published materials in the Readings on Economic Development and Latin America provide a rich subject collection on the Latin American economy. Some of this material is written in Spanish or Portuguese.

Related materials may also be found at the Kennedy Library in President Kennedy's papers, particularly in the President's Office Files and the National Security Files, and in the personal papers of Jack N.
