According to the deed of gift signed November 2004, copyright of these materials has been assigned to the United States. Documents in this collection that were prepared by officials of the United States as part of their official duties are in the public domain. Copyright
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Withdrawn Items
Selected folders may contain withdrawal sheets where three (3) documents, in accordance with the donor's deed of gift, were removed from the collection. These include documents which may be used to injure or harass any living person. All withdrawn documents have been placed under seal and upon request the Kennedy Library will review any material which has been closed for a period of not less than 2 years for the purpose of opening items which no longer require restrictions. Researchers should consult the reference staff to obtain the appropriate form(s). Two (2) documents have been opened due to the expiration of the donor’s deed restrictions.

Biographical Note
David (Gould) Nunnerley was born October 29, 1947, in Shrewsbury, England. He attended Sevenoaks School, 1963-65; University of Kent, B.A. (honors), 1968, Ph.D., 1972. In 1973 he served as a tutor at the Open University, London, England. His Ph.D. dissertation deals with American and British policy makers of the Kennedy and Macmillan years and was published as,

Collection Overview
The collection consists of David Nunnerley’s interviews with officials of the Kennedy and Macmillan administrations as a part of the research for his PhD. dissertation on Anglo-American relations during the Kennedy administration. Nunnerley’s was to identify and explain the “special” Anglo-American relationship through the Berlin crisis, Cuban missile crisis, Britain’s entry into the Common Market, disarmament, Skybolt, Polaris, and the Nassau Agreement. Materials consist of taped interviews, transcripts, and excerpts taken by David Nunnerley, as well as some correspondence.

, by Martin’s Press, 1972. Most folders contain two clean copies of the transcripts with very minor differences, however, some interviews have one transcript with editing marks and one clean copy of the transcript.
