Advertising executive, campaign adviser. Materials relating to political campaign advertising, including production files and correspondence relating to Robert F. Kennedy's Presidential campaign (1968) and to George McGovern's Presidential campaign (1972).

According to the deed of gift signed March 1978, copyright of these materials has been assigned to the United States. Documents in this collection that were prepared by officials of the United States as part of their official duties are in the public domain. Selected folders may contain withdrawal sheets where documents, in accordance with the donor's deed of gift, were removed from the collection. These include documents which may be used to injure or harass any living person. All withdrawn documents have been placed under seal and upon request the Kennedy Library will review any material which has been closed for a period of not less than 2 years for the purpose of opening items which no longer require restrictions. Researchers should consult the reference staff to obtain the appropriate form(s).

Biographical Note
Frederic Papert was an advertising executive and campaign adviser to Robert F. Kennedy's Presidential campaign (1968) and to George McGovern's Presidential campaign (1972).

This series consists of correspondence and other papers relating to the political campaigns of Robert Kennedy, George McGovern, Charles Evers, Charles Goodell, and Theodore Sorenson. There is also correspondence covering the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Project and the Families for Immediate Release (of American Vietnam Prisoners of War). The Robert F. Kennedy file contains several boxes of newspaper checking lists. The Families for Immediate Release file includes boxes containing locator cards for radio and television stations.
