Oral History Interviews (1965, 1968): George Ball completed four interviews for the John F. Kennedy Library; JFK#1: 4/12/1965; JFK#2: 4/16/1965; JFK#3: 2/16/1968; JFK#4: 3/29/1968. Each interview comments upon Ball's impressions of John F. Kennedy’s personality and administrative style, Britain’s entrance into the European Economic Community, and the Trade Agreements Act, the Cuban Missile Crisis, U.S. military involvement in Laos and Vietnam in the early 1960s, the crisis in the Congo following secession of Katanga Province, and the development of U.S. foreign policy towards Africa, international economic issues, including balance of payments, conflicts between the U.S. State and Treasury departments, and the steel crisis, among other issues.
