Papers (1949-1966) consist of personal correspondence, memorandums, reports, hearings, bills, news clippings, and scrapbooks relating to Batt's service as Administrator of the Area Redevelopment Administration under the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, as well as his position as assistant to the United States Secretary of Labor.
Oral History Interviews (1966, 1967): Batt completed three interviews for the John F. Kennedy Library; JFK#1 interview: 10/26/1966; JFK#2 interview: 11/16/1966; JFK#3 interview: 5/10/1967. Each interview comments upon the 1955 Depressed Areas Act, a the Area Redevelopment Administration, the 1963 Area Redevelopment Act, the Accelerated Public Works Program, and the Appalachian Program, among other issues.
