Environmental affairs consultant. Author, Terracide: America's Destruction of Her Living Environment (1970). In early 1960, Linton joined the campaign staff of Senator John F. Kennedy. After the election he served as the Director of Economic Utilization Policy in the Department of Defense from 1961 to 1963, before becoming the Chief Clerk and Staff Director of the Committee on Public Works for the U.S. Senate until 1967.

The personal papers of Ronald Linton contain personal and professional papers relating to his work as an author, environmental consultant, and speaker. It documents Linton’s professional involvement in a variety of organizations and associations, as well as his personal research for his book Terracide: America’s Destruction of Her Living Environment.  Includes research and background materials concerning the environment. Personal files contain correspondence, subject and administrative files, speeches, and financial records.
