“A nation reveals itself not only by the men it produces but also by the men it honors, the men it remembers.”
President John F. Kennedy, Remarks at Amherst College, October 26, 1963
A charitable bequest to the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation is a wonderful way to ensure that the work and mission of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum continues to be supported for future generations.
Individuals who create a bequest to benefit the Kennedy Library Foundation are recognized with membership in the Victura Society. A bequest is a gift by will that designates a specific portion or asset of your estate to the Kennedy Library Foundation.
A bequest is a simple way to ensure that generations to come will benefit from the Library’s work. By including the "John F. Kennedy Library Foundation" as a beneficiary in your will, you help to ensure the future of our efforts to promote participation in our country’s democratic process, honor political courage, and inspire new generations of leaders. A bequest may also help to reduce estate taxes.

There are several ways a bequest may be structured - a specific dollar amount, percentage, or asset of your estate. Or the Kennedy Library Foundation could be listed as a residual beneficiary of the remainder (residue), in whole or in part.
If you already have a current will and wish to add the Kennedy Library Foundation as a beneficiary, this can be accomplished by the use of a document called a codicil, which your attorney can draft for you. A codicil allows you to make a simple change or addition to your will without redrafting the entire document.
