Make a Stock Gift
Gifts of appreciated stock can benefit The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation while providing substantial tax benefits for the donor. If you contribute appreciated stock, you pay no capital gains tax upon the transfer of the stock and receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift. There are two ways to make stock gifts:
1. By wire transfer:
The Kennedy Library Foundation welcomes stock gifts via wire transfer. Please contact Doris Drummond, Chief Financial Officer, The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, 617-514-1668 or e-mail doris.drummond@jfklfoundation.org for detailed instructions on making a wire transfer.
2. By mail:
Thank you for sending your unendorsed stock certificates by registered mail to Doris Drummond, Chief Financial Officer, John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, Columbia Point, Boston, MA 02125. In a separate envelope, to the same person and address, mail your signed stock powers with a cover letter stating that you wish to donate the securities to the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation.
In either case, be sure to notify the Foundation that you are making a stock transfer so that your gift can be properly acknowledged and credited. The President’s Council of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, led by Caroline Kennedy and Paul G. Kirk, Jr., is a cohort of dedicated private citizens, corporations, and foundations whose philanthropic leadership sustains and enriches the work of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum each year. Individual and institutional members of the Council provide annual support of $25,000 and above.
Annually, this Council brings together leading supporters who share our vision of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum as a catalyst for democratic participation and public service.
