The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation supports the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum’s public relations and information activities by staffing and funding the Library and Museum’s communications and marketing efforts, including advertising, tourism promotion, and media relations.
The Foundation is responsible for promoting the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum as a national and international tourist destination and attraction. It oversees all paid and pro bono advertising placement and marketing campaigns, develops and implements marketing strategies promoting major new exhibitions, and serves as the Library’s representative to the travel and tourism industry.

May 1997 -- New Jacqueline Kennedy Exhibit
A new, expanded exhibit on First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy which profiles her extraordinary accomplishments and contribution to the nation during the Kennedy Presidency opened on May 31, 1997. To coincide with the opening of the expanded exhibit, the Kennedy Library and Museum also featured a special, temporary exhibit on the wedding of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier including Jacqueline Kennedy's wedding dress, her engagement ring, and the original copy of a poem she wrote about her husband as a gift to him on their first anniversary.

October 1998 -- John Glenn’s Space Flight Commemorated
In honor of Senator John Glenn's (D-Ohio) return to space, the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum introduced a new, permanent exhibit which displays materials from the Library’s collection on Glenn’s 1962 space flight when he became the first American to orbit the earth.

October 2003 -- Actor Martin Sheen Records Inspirational Ads Promoting Kennedy Library
Actor Martin Sheen, who played the role of U.S. President Josiah Bartlet on the Emmy Award winning “West Wing”, lent his support by recording a new series of radio and television ads promoting the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Library.
