Boston, MA- The Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library will honor our nation’s war heroes this Veterans Day by giving all United States Veterans and active military personnel free admission to the Museum throughout Veterans Day weekend – Saturday, November 8, through Tuesday, November 11. 

 

As part of Veterans Day observance the Kennedy Library will also host - The Trials of Homecoming on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11th. Dr. Jonathan Shay, a physiatrist and MacArthur Fellow, will explain his treatment for combat trauma by using the ancient accounts of battle described in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey. He will be joined by former Army Captain, James Meeks, who has served two tours of duty in Iraq.  Well known radio personality and host of Open Source, Christopher Lydon, will moderate. 

 

This Kennedy Library Forum will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Stephen E. Smith Center at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum, Columbia Point, Boston. All forums are free and open to the public. Click here to make reservations and for further information.
