Hours
The Museum is open 7 days per week, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the exception of New Year’s, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Our last Introductory Film of the day is at 3:55 p.m.
The Research Room is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only and is closed on weekends and federal holidays. To speak to our research room staff, please call 617.514.1629.
Museum Admission for 2008
Adults $10.00, Seniors (62 and over) and Students (with valid college ID) $8.00, Ages 13-17 $7.00, Children 12 and under are free.
New Museum Admission Effective January 2, 2009
Adults $12.00, Seniors (62 and over) and Students (with valid college ID) $10.00, Ages 13-17 $9.00, Children 12 and under are free.
Group visits of 12 or more are eligible for a group visit discount with advance reservations.
Students in grades K-12 from New England Schools on an educational group tour are eligible for free admission. Please contact the Group Tours office for more information at 617.514.1589.
Gift Certificates are Available
The best way to purchase advanced tickets that can be redeemed at our Admissions Desk, and the perfect gift, all year round! Gift Certificates are available through our Admissions Desk in our Main Lobby (by cash or credit card), or by calling our Admissions Desk at 617/514-1569 (by credit card only; VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover). Available for Adults for $10.00 each, Seniors and College Students for $8.00 each, and Children 13 - 17 for $7.00 each. Children 12 and under are always admitted free!
Transportation
The Library and Museum is easily accessed by public transportation. Take the MBTA Rapid Transit, Red Line (any red line train) to JFK/UMASS Station. There is a free shuttle bus to the Library every 20 minutes beginning at 8:00 a.m. and running until Museum closing. Please take the buses marked ‘JFK.’

Driving Directions
The Library and Museum is located on Columbia Point in Boston close to route I-93.

From the South by automobile
Take route 3/I-93 (Southeast Expressway) to exit 14. At the end of the ramp, merge onto Morrissey Boulevard. Follow the signs to the JFK Library and Museum and the University of Massachusetts.
From the North by automobile
Take route I-93 or I-95 south to Boston and onto the Southeast Expressway (route3/I-93). Take exit 15 and follow the signs to the JFK Library and Museum and the University of Massachusetts.
From the West by automobile
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (route I-90) to “Expressway South” (route 3/I-93), southbound to Exit 15. Follow signs to the JFK Library and Museum and the University of Massachusetts.
Parking
Parking is free for Museum visitors. Free motorcoach parking is also available – please contact the Group Visits office.
The Museum Café
The café serves light meals and beverages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. The café is located on the entrance level and has a maximum capacity of 45.
Luggage Policy
Luggage, backpacks and carry-ons may not be checked at the Library. These items are permitted to be carried with you through the Museum.
Accessibility
Wheelchairs are available at the Visitor Admission Desk on a first come, first served basis. Video presentations in the Museum are captioned for hearing-impaired visitors.
