Bible with a leather cover and vellum pages. Bible is written in Ge'ez, the liturgical language of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and the medium of traditional Ethiopian learning and scholarship.
Antique silver dish ring stand. Openwork and chased silver dish ring engraved with two pheasants among flowers and a cartouche with a crest flanked by a figure on the left and a wolf on the right. Three of four hallmarks are legible: the crowned harp certifies that the ring is 92.5% pure silver, Hibernia seated certifies proper excise duty was paid...
Ship model of the 44 gun French frigate of the line "Melpomene." This model was crafted by a prisoner of war during the French Revolutionary or Napoleonic wars. The bow has a warrior figurehead.
Sword with hilt and silver knuckle guard, which is formed by a long turned down quillon. The grip is composed of fluted wood. The sheath is covered with chased silver plating. The steel blade is slightly curved.
Drinking horn made from a bovine horn. The horn is decorated with engraved silver and niello (a metallic alloy of sulfur and silver) at the open end and at the mouth piece. The mouth piece is shaped like the head of a bird. Attached to the horn is a silver chain strap.
Large bowl and footed stand made of crystal cut with alternating panels of diamonds and fluting and sixteen fan-shaped lobes on the rim.
