Vice President Johnson reports to the President on his trip to West Berlin.
President Kennedy directs the Secretary of Defense to report on what military build-up of conventional forces that NATO countries will provide in the Berlin crisis. He also orders a review of contingency planning in case of a Soviet blockade of the city.
