On June 12, 1961, the court case moved to Biloxi, Mississippi. The change of location was at the request of Judge Sidney C. Mize, who had been called to Biloxi for two weeks. In this excerpt from the hearing, Attorney Shands begins his questioning by asking Meredith about the certificates of recommendation from alumni, which are requirements for gaining admission to Ole Miss.
