This folder contains miscellaneous Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) material that was presumably collected by Joseph J. Walka, assistant to the chairman, soon after he assumed the position. Items include a U.S. Chamber of Commerce publication on Selected Antitrust and Trade Regulation Issues (10 July 1963); charts of the gross national product and national income; and a speech by Walter W. Heller titled "The Challenge of Taxation in the American Economy" (14 August 1963).

This folder contains Walter W. Heller's correspondence with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees). Types of material include letters, memoranda, press releases, and speeches. The file also contains a program from the Economic Institute on Tax Reform; a booklet titled "Unemployment: Some Neglected Causes"; and Congressional testimony on employment by Emerson P. Schmidt. Note that this file also includes some misfiled material from the Department of Commerce.

This folder contains materials collected by the office of President John F. Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning President Kennedy's address to the United States Chamber of Commerce at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. In his speech the President congratulates the Chamber on its 50th anniversary, and discusses the ways in which the government and businesses must cooperatively interact in order to address mutual concerns of inflation, modernization, and competitive market forces. Materials in this folder include various memoranda, drafts (by economic advisor Walter Heller and Special Counsel and speechwriter Theodore Sorensen), press copies, and reading copies of the speech. Of note are several items with handwritten notations by the President.

In his speech the Senator addresses the need for a comprehensive examination and understanding of the impact and efficiency of foreign aid programs in order to reduce the United States' foreign aid budget.

This folder contains copies and drafts of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech given at the Annual Chamber of Commerce dinner in Albany, Georgia. In his speech the Senator discusses President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s foreign policy program toward the Middle East and a need for increased United States involvement in the region to counter the growing threat of Communism. Of note is a draft with notations by Senator Kennedy.
