Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s welcome address to members of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs recorded in the White House Cabinet Room. In his speech President Kennedy discusses the efforts of the Presidential Commission on the Status of Women, and thanks the organization’s support of programs such as the Alliance for Progress, Peace Corps, and the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.
