Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning the activities of the National Conference of Christians and Jews (NCCJ; later known as the National Conference for Community and Justice), a national non-profit organization devoted to promoting harmony between different groups separated by cultural features such as race or religion. Materials in this folder include a fact sheet on the NCCJ, a caption for a picture of President Kennedy with members of the Board of Trustees of the NCCJ at the White House, and a copy of remarks made by Dr. Lewis Webster Jones at the President's meeting with NCCJ board members.

Kennedy’s speech titled, “Comity and Common Sense in the Middle East,” given at the National Brotherhood Banquet sponsored by the National Conference of Christians and Jews in Cleveland, Ohio. In his speech the Senator discusses President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s proposed policy for the Middle East, and the need for more direct measures to address issues in the region. Of note is a draft with notations by Senator Kennedy.
