In his speech the Senator discusses the role of the United Nations in diplomacy and foreign policy efforts to meet global challenges, and the need for United States cooperation with the U.N. to secure regions under communist influence, specifically the Middle East and India. Of note is a draft with notations by Senator Kennedy.

Also included in this folder is a copy of an address given by Ambassador Stevenson at Colgate University titled, “The Role of the United States in an Expanding United Nations,” discussing the UN and colonialism.
