Sound recording of the radio program "Face Off." Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and Senator Alan K. "Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate the peace process in the Middle East between Israel and its Arab neighbors, particularly President Bush's proposal to delay financial loans to Israel until a full peace conference begins. They also comment on Israel expanding housing into the West Bank, and Jews from the Soviet Union immigrating to Israel. The episode aired on Tuesday, September 24, 1991, on the Mutual Broadcasting System.

Also included in this folder is a statement on Memorial Day. Of note are several items with notations and handwritten drafts by the Senator.

This file contains memoranda between Secretary of State Dean Rusk and President John F. Kennedy regarding the establishment of United States Government radio stations near foreign embassies and abroad for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (also known as the Soviet Union), Guinea, Iran, and Israel. Also included is the final report of the Subcommittee on Communications and a draft NSAM titled, “Establishment of the National Communications System.” The materials relate to National Security Action Memoranda number 201 (NSAM 201) titled, “Establishment of Subcommittee on Communications.”
