President Barack Obama to Receive 2017 Centennial John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award

-- Event marks 100th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s birth --

Boston MA – Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and her son, Jack Schlossberg, will present the 2017 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award to President Barack Obama on Sunday, May 7, 2017 as part of the centennial celebration of John F. Kennedy’s birth. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will accompany President Obama to the ceremony. See full announcement.

The award presentation will be held at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum during the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation’s annual May Dinner gala. The evening will include a special performance by James Taylor.

Tickets for this event are by invitation only.

This event is pooled for television and open to limited pre-credentialed stills and journalists.

Members of the media who wish to cover the award presentation portion of the evening must RSVP to by 5:00PM ET on Wednesday, May 3rd. Credential confirmations will be sent by 12:00PM ET on Friday, May 5th

NOTE: Due to limited space, we will not be able to accommodate all requests. Requesting outlets will only be permitted one credential per media type (photographer and correspondent). Members of the media without confirmation emails will not be permitted to attend the event.
