An evening dress with belt in ice blue silk shantung. (after spring-summer model number 3390 by Hubert Givenchy). This is Chez Ninon's freehand interpretation of a Givenchy dress. The belt, decorated with a bow, cinches the dress to create pleats at the waist.
This dress was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy to dinner with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Buckingham Palace in London, England on June 5, 1961. The First Lady also worn this gown to a dinner with the Prime Minister of Japan, Hayato Ikeda, at the Japanese Embassy in Washington, DC on June 22, 1961.
