A suit in salt-and-pepper wool tweed after spring-summer model number 3270 by Hubert de Givenchy. The understated flecked wool jacket has a fringed neckline and front lapel with two large plastic buttons down center and two flap pockets at sides. The three-quarter length sleeve jacket is paired with a matching pencil skirt.
This suit was worn by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy during her arrival in Ottawa, Canada on May 16, 1961. She also wore it during museum visits with Andre Malraux in Paris, France on June 2, 1961 and during President Kennedy's address to the United Nations in New York City, New York on September 25, 1961.
