Folder Description
This folder contains a press release concerning the Soviet Union’s detonation of an atmospheric nuclear weapon and correspondence regarding the Atomic Energy Commission’s progress in nuclear weapons testing. Also included in this folder is a transcript from a “Meet the Press” interview with Dr. Glenn T. Seaborg, chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, concerning atmospheric and underground nuclear testing.
