Folder Description
This folder contains memoranda regarding NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) including NATO’s defense policy and a paper written by NATO Secretary General Dirk Stikker, MRBMs (medium-range ballistic missiles), and United States policy towards NATO. Also included in this folder is a paper by U.S. Departments of State-Defense Study Group titled, “Assessment of European Attitudes toward the Control and Use of Nuclear Force in the Defense of Europe,” discussing NATO’s role in nuclear weapons.
