Touring the Reichskanslei in Berlin. Also referred to as the New Reich Chancellery, the Reichskanslei was one of the main Nazi headquarters during World War II. Identified in the background of the photograph is a young John F. Kennedy. Walking in the foreground and standing left to right are: Commodore Henry A. Schade, Admiral Ghormley, unidentified Russian Officer (guide), United States Navy Secretary James Forrestal, unidentified United States Army Officer (interpreter), Captain Granbart, and Captain Taylor. Walking in the background and standing left to right are Lt. Comdr. Paul A. Borel (partially obscured), John F. Kennedy, and an unidentified Marine Captain Aide.
