Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy and her classmates from Dorchester High School (D. H. S.) in Dorchester, Massachusetts, performing a mock wedding. Ruth Johnson Davey sent this photograph and one other to President John F. Kennedy with a letter dated May 4, 1963. The inscription on the verso of the photograph reads: "Mock Wedding at home of Dot Powers (in derby), July 4, 1906, Groom - Rose Fitzgerald, Bride - Vera Legg, Best man - Marion Damon, Maid of honor - Lula Linscott, Bride's-maids - Vera Johnson, Gladys White, Martha Johnson, Parents of bride - Dorothea Powers, Iris Johnson Parson, Ruth Johnson."
