United States Naval Academy yawl "Gypsy." This photograph and three others were sent to Naval Aide to the President Commander Tazewell Shepard with an offer for President John F. Kennedy to hold an "Honorary Life Membership" to the Naval Academy Sailing Squadron. Commander Shepard forwarded the photographs to President Kennedy with a memorandum dated March 16, 1961. The typed caption on the front of the photograph reads: "Gypsy." A stamp on the verso of the photograph reads: "Notice! The purchase of this photograph does not carry with it the right of reproduction., Morris Rosenfeld, N.Y., Morris Rosenfeld, Photographic Illustrator, 116 Nassau Street, N.Y., Phone BEeekman 3-4970."
