Kennedy’s speech titled, "The Power of Labor for the Good of America," given on the floor of the United States Senate discussing the achievements of the labor movement and the passage of legislation to end labor racketeering. In the speech he also discusses a pamphlet titled, “Power-for what?” written by George Meany, President of the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations), addressing the labor movement.
