Description
Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s remarks at the Pinchot Institute of Conservation Studies in Milford, Pennsylvania. In his speech the President discusses Gifford Pinchot's contributions to the American conservation movement, suggests that conservation efforts incorporate technological advancements, and explains that the federal government must provide a national policy framework for conservation and resource development. Near the one-minute mark of the analog recording, audiotape playback speed seems to increase briefly, as if fast forwarded.
