Folder Description
This folder contains correspondence between John L. Saltonstall, Director of the Committee of Arts, Letters, and Sciences for Kennedy for President and members of the committee. Materials include letters of acceptance into the committee, approvals of a proposed statement in support of John F. Kennedy’s 1960 presidential campaign, and handwritten lists of committee members. Of note are signed approvals from writers Upton Sinclair and Thornton Wilder.
