Senator Edward Kennedy on the Profile in Courage Award

No one person loved the Profile in Courage Award more than Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

He championed the award’s creation to honor the legacy of his brother and he helped guide the selection process by recruiting a nationally prominent bipartisan committee of other elected officials, journalists, historians, civil rights leaders, scholars and public servants.

This short film was made to pay tribute to Senator Kennedy who eloquently gave voice to the meaning of the Profile in Courage Award. It was shown at the 2010 Profile in Courage Award Cerermony on May 24, 2010.
