Jacqueline Kennedy's Trip to India and Pakistan, March 1962

This segment features archival footage covering highlights of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy’s trip to India and Pakistan in March 1962. Included in the India portion are stops in New Delhi, Fatehpur Sikri, the Taj Mahal in Agra, Benares with a boatride on the Ganges River, Udaipur, and Jaipur with an elephant ride. 

Included in the Pakistan footage are tours of Lahore, Shalimar Gardens, Karachi, Peshawar, the Khyber Pass, and Rawalpindi, the First Lady riding a camel, and delivering remarks. The footage is narrated by Kennedy Library Collections Specialist Jim Wagner.
