Illuminated chart depicting a partial Kennedy family tree at center, starting with Patrick Kennedy of Wexford through John Jr. and Caroline Kennedy.  At the upper right corner is the Kennedy Coat of Arms and down the left side are the names of Kennedy ancestors beginning with the Lorcan King of Munster.  At the top of the chart is an excerpt of a poem by Giolla which dates back to 1420:

"O'Cinneidigh, who reddens the javelin

Over the wide smooth Gleann-Omra

The race of our Donnchuan, who through valour

Obtained the lands without dispute."

This award was presented to President John F. Kennedy on the occasion of his enrollment as an Honorary Freeman on  June 27, 1963 during his State visit to Wexford, Ireland.
